Headers complete and coils. That with a lot more took whole day - mounting new front skinnies, changing Dana rear fluid, terminating connections, etc. etc. etc. lol

Guys at shop did awesome job with locating and mounting coils. And Ev with the headers and hours of fitting, tacking, checking, fitting, tig'ing, etc.

Mocked up exhaust. Actually may have full range of steering with 25" front tires. Decided to dump exhaust with race mufflers behind front wheel well. Clearance issues and not wanting to cut into cross members. And not wanting to run inside rails (fuel and returns there ). It's gonna be loud. Lol

Monday we'll run last section of alt wire, weld exhaust, and complete fitting of return fuel line. Test all electrical, clean out fuel lines and .... see what we get. Woot !

Did you get the engine running yet?
Yes! They texted me this video while we were driving home from the clinic (low quality because it was texted. But the sound is good lol )

Tomorrow is tune day and harness tie up. :)

I'll try get some video tomorrow or Friday.

Basic tune in. Alignment done. All little checks and tweets done. Dyno tomorrow and hopefully get him on the street for more tuning and the track this weekend !

He checked in a bit fat at 3400 with me in it. Probably deal with some weight reduction after Drag Week. Lol. Still all metal - hood, trunk lid, bumpers, etc.

Quick video I slammed together quick tonight from today's activities.

Thanks guys. Last few days chasing some FI gremlins. Losing crank trigger and cam sensor intermittently. Wierd dumps to 2 degree timing. Long to short - as usual with most electrical stuff sensitive to interference, grounding was crux. Harness needed some "modifications" .... looking better. Went in early this morning. Fingers crossed and knock wood - have handle on it. Some more checks Monday and dyno. Woot.

Another week of ironing out stuff ... but he's running strong! a few more days before we head west Thursday!

Couple videos

Been a while since an update lol. We literally had the car “done” a day before we left for Drag Week. Made our first pass on a track after Sunday Tech.

Best run we had was: 10.95 ET at 127mph with a 1.89 60”. So obviously the convertor wasn’t a good match. Trying to find “sweet spot” for street and strip needed more time we didn’t have so were conservative at first. Flashed just over 2k ... so now we have one installed that should flash a bit over 4K ... so once weather breaks, we’ll see how far we can get that 60” (thus ET) down where it should be.

But we finished Drag Week with no real issues. Quite way to do a shakedown for street and strip. Lol. Ate some alternators - spun em too high.

Video we threw together of Drag Week:
