1967 Barracuda Driveshaft length a904/8 3/4

from center of cap to center of cap 52 1/2

That sounds like a Dart shaft. Doesn't the Barracuda have a shorter wheel base? like 108" vs Dart at 111"?

i just measured my current one 51.60 original 7.25/904. i seen that i should be at 49.60 with a 8 3/4 so a 2 inch cut to shorten.

Dart has a 54.6' shaft (just confirmed on my 67 Dart) with the 7 1/4 and barracuda's 7 1/4 shaft Slantsix64 measured 51.6, that is 3 inches shorter just like the wheelbase.

52 1/2 is longer than Slantsix64's 7 1/4 shaft and the 8 3/4 is longer than the 7 1/4 from axle center-line to U-joint center-line by about 2 1/4 inches so the shaft would need to be shorter by similar amount.

I'm no expert and may be missing something here.

On a side note the Valiant has a 108 wheelbase and in my 67 parts book it calls for a 49.58" shaft with the 8 3/4

Oddly in this parts book the Barracuda is not listed.

This is from the 1967 Plymouth Supplement shop manual and is specific to Barracuda:
