Dumb ***

I was cleaning up my '65 Formula S wiring harness and came to the map light, which had a bulb base stuck in it, but the glass was broken/gone. After a short struggle with a pair of needle nose pliers, I was able to push down and twist the brass base and pull it out.

The lamp I pulled out was a single terminal #67. The map light has a twin terminal socket (yellow and pink wires) and requires a #90 double post lamp. Duhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I remember my friend, Brian, coming by with his 62 300, complaining that his dash lights were acting weird when he stepped on the brakes. Somebody had replaced the brake/tail bulb with a single contact/filament bulb, which was contacting both bulb socket contacts. When you stepped on the brakes it would backfeed thru the tail light wiring and light up the dash.
