Found a lot of discussions on "DP" primer and "DPLV" primer on the internet, problem is, no one explains what the "DP" stands for. I am guessing "LV" stands for Low Voc. Thank you.

Dp primer is PPG's version of epoxy primer/sealer. DPLF is the newer version of the old DP. Eg: DP90 was the black colored.

I used DP40 back in the day, it was gray color. DP40 from 30 years ago still on there

DPLF is the Lead free epoxy version of DP. Some don't like it but I never really had any issues with it other than transparency of the white. It comes in Gray, Green, Gray green, Blue, Red, White, and Black. It has a 72 hour pot life when mixed with DP402LF. If I remember right there is a 30 minute induction time with DP401LF and I would not recommend using it.

The PPG DP I used in the early '90's was a green/gray shade, I believe it was DP40............................
