Have a look at this bushing.

Hard to tell for sure from a picture. It wouldn't surprise me if it were missing as some bushings are sold with out them or someone "couldn't get the a-arm in with it on".
Here's an A-body bushing end measurement if it can help..….

ya the pic is not too good this pic is off my old 69 dart,as you can see the washer with barbs around it is there ,i will get a better close up of the bushing.
