70 Duster rear speaker size?

Perfect fit and sounded fine.Cost $2.00

Hi All,

@roccodart440, are the Alpines a direct fit? I am getting ready to do an install as well (also a '70 Duster) and am going to have to cut the holes, etc. for them into a new package tray from Year One / R.E.M. (came with the car when I bought it). I just upgraded my '96 Caprice and used the JVC CS-DR6930 and have been happy with them, and was hoping to use the same speakers in the Duster (but unknown fitment). Any guidance is appreciated!!

Thanks FABO!

Any guidance on the front in dash speaker?

I used kicker 6x9s in the rear. I had to bolt them from the botto side in the trunk so theu would fit under the package tray. My new package tray had holes in it for dual speakers.

I bought a bracket from a member on here a few years back. It mounts two 4 or 4.5 inch speakers in the factoy location in the dash. Used kicker speakers all around powered by a retrosound radio. It's good enough for me

Yeah, I was thinking of the same thing...Can't find the dash bracket though...

In my 74 duster I had a full set of Polk audio speakers two 6x9s and two 6 1/2s with a clarion stereo. With a poll 12 sub. Man that car had some amazing bump and clarity.

I used alpine type-s for my rear speakers, (used alpines for many cars). I have my blown speaker from the front and planned on making a bracket myself to fit two smaller speakers but haven't gotten around to it yet.
