69 barracuda grille surrounds repop

Thank you. Does it look factory, or added in?

Did you get the PM on the trim screws?

Factory!

Yes but I used the original style semi hollow tubular rivets to re-assemble and I am just against the screw method. Everything I considered effected the screens. The correct rivets are flush and no issue with alignment.

Once i get the countersinks on the trims the screws will sit flush as well. A dollop of black paint from a Q tip and they will be flat and hidden.

Great follow up on the grill pieces. looks like they will turn out good after your re-work. If PG contacts you to tell you they have fixed them (someday), let us know!
Thanks!

Are there part numbers on the backsides of these repops?

Didnt really notice if there were. Everythings packed back up once i fitted these. I dont remember there being any numbers on them actually.

Outstanding read. THX to everyone for your thoughts and efforts. I have a 69 convert. Fish and I'm struggling with about 6 sets of 69 grilles. I'm on the fence to get one of the sets rechromed or just buy the PG Classic stuff. My originals have the classic pot metal nibs/bubbles in the chrome. My car is just about ready to get painted and as you know tyhe front end is the money shot.

Budget is everything. How far and how much. You have to find the middle. You have read all the peanuts thoughts so do what is right for you.

They didnt say nobody ever had problems with these before, they only stated nobody ever contacted them with this. I took pix of oem and theirs as well as what had to be done to get them to work. They stated they would be in touch with me on this, and would call me back. Time will tell. I told em i really wanted to help them get these right. Not for me, as i corrected the issue myself, but for other folks who cant fix stuff like this and need a bolt together deal.
First, thanks for the information, second, you have to wonder what the heck their test vehicle was?

I agree with Moparmats statement. We were all disappointed and found our ways to fix something we paid to much for. You can go back to original and re-chrome or make an alternate solution. They will never respond but hopefully make the changes while never admitting to the issue.
