Well, since I am working on this carb running rich issue I think now is a good time to down the car for awhile and change out my fuel pressure regulator setup and do it right! I am also ditching the stock fuel tank, and sender setup and installing a 20 gal fuel cell from Summit with a 90 ohm fuel sender. I am hoping that this will eliminate the leaking fuel sending unit in the stock tank, sloshing fuel needle readings on the gauge as well as improve fuel gauge reading accuracy. I ordered a full sweep programmable fuel level gauge to match the new system. I will need some advice along the way though to make sure I am not re-doing this again. I have done a lot of research and plan to route this setup after the dual feed line as shown in the diagram. My inlet fuel lines are 3/8 in and the return will be 3/8 as well. Let me know if I am going in the wrong direction. FYI...I do not plan to start this project until I get the first issue resolved with my engine running rich!

Only thing I MIGHT be concerned with is the 3/8 line. I don't know what your setup is so that may be sufficient size line for what you're doing. I have the same 20 gallon cell too and it doesn't give any sloshing fuel readings.

-6 AN line can flow a lot of gas. Unless you're over 500 HP or something it is plenty big enough. That diagram looks good, pretty much the way mine is hooked up. Absolutely no chance for vapor lock.

When i was feeding 1006 Hp i ran an SX pump and regulator, it required a #10 feed and a #8 return. I was able to adjust it to 6.5 lbs, and it never moved one bit even under full flow with nitrous. Best pump i ever had, didnt have a lifespan and was designed for CONTINUOUS USE>... Thats a key phrase to ask. Most pumps have a 400 hr lifepsan then need to be rebuilt. They dont tell you that when you buy the pump from most places.

I'd think you should be OK. I run the same type of system, BG back end return regulator. I run 1/2" or -8 front to rear.

3/8" line should be OK for what you are running.

Ive seen diagrams with the regulator both before and after the carb when using a return line. Which one is the prefered or do both work just fine. I still need to do mine and want it to be correct the first time!
Thanks
Rod

I am running mine after the carb. I am almost finished up with everything. Here are some pics of the setup. I just need to flare, clamp and throw some fuel in her.

Finally got to finish this today. Everything turned out perfect! No leaks, fuel pump is quiet as a mouse and just filled her up with 20gal of VP C12. It runs and smells awesome!

Old thread but...
Hey Rob! Been a while. Do you still have this car? Hows it running? I'm gonna copy you and do the same thing, regulator after the carb. I'm using -8 for feed and return.

I think Ken redid some of the fuel system. He also installed a Dana 60 in the A-Body.
