Hey everyone

I bought a trans for my 71 fury and I need to start accumulating parts for the install so I need to know if this is the correct yoke or if not where I can get the right one

Well you need to match the u-joint the driveshaft takes, unless your building a whole new one.

When I first did my car I used the conversion joint at the front for the big yoke at the trans and the normal small one at the rear end.

That's the plan. My question was if this one was going to work, I'd heard of 2 different spline cuts.

Ive heard the spline count is the same, but the splines are on a different angle. But maybe that’s just newer stuff. Kim

The spines ARE different. I tried to use the yoke from my truck that I parted out. It was a 46rh/518 in a 1/2 ton truck. It didn't fit my 727 correctly. Same spline count, just something was slightly different.

slip yoke problem / TF 727

The driveshaft shop ordered the correct 727 yoke for me. Ended up being cheaper than anything I could find on the internet. He was aware of the difference between the two. I ended up selling the 46rh with the matching yoke since I didn't need it.
