Offy made a 2 x 1 bbl...not sure on 2 x 2 bbl.
Awhile back I had the idea of taking an aluminum intake, blocking the carb entrance off, then opening the side up and somehow mounting an EFI throttle body (junkyard donor, anything common) there. This would eliminate the 90* turn, and convert the intake to direct port style EFI (after welding in bungs,etc.). Haven't followed up on it any further, though.
