I am looking for a upper control arm for my 63 Plymouth Valiant passenger side , The thread's on mine don't look to good , Or could i just screw it in and tack weld it in a spot or 2 till i could find me one,Thanks for any help....
 
I got my new upper control arms for my '69 Charger from Cass at Dr Diff. On my Barracuda, my threads were a little questionable too. I screwed them in then tacked them in place with the welder, just like you said.
 
Its common practice to tack weld the ball joints in.

I have a completely rebuilt UCA (new bushings and ball joint) but can’t remember if it’s driver or passenger side. I will check and get back to you
