I'm confused. If the insurance company totaled it and paid her for it, it's not her's anymore. It belongs to the insurance company. How can she sell it? That's how it works. I'd get a LOT more information before I laid any money down.
I disagree. In 1985 I totalled my chevelle and the insurance company (state farm) gave me the car and $2000 cash. It took a lot of negotiations because I wouldn't sign off on it for them until I got what I wanted. But I got the car and rebuilt it with the money.
