What do you guys think of this price

What did they do to get the ridge down on the header panel? Damage behind grill? 383 not a bad thing depending on how well it was installed. <15k tops

I could see it here on the West Coast. ......25k would not blow my mind at all.
I paid 9.6k for a Barracuda that needed 15k of work and I got a good deal.

Seriously, would it cost the dealer that much to replace the heater core and do away with the Albanian bypass? After all, you are asking twenty freakin five grand. These type of cars baffle me. So much looks nice. Then you see this, and the J.C. Whitney universal upper hose and wonder...what other surprises will I find after I buy it that I cant see now?

New car dealers are not usually car nuts... they want inventory to turn over quickly. Old cars are not their forte .

Old cars , RVs and motorcycles will be hit pretty low or shopped for a buy bid from a dealer in that industry.

I would look the car ovr real good personally, them IF it warrants further examination, and IF the price can be negotiated to a real value, pay a good mechanic/ bodyman to look it over close. Test drive it with the mechanic.
I would ay IF they are stuck at that price walk for sure.

Like said, people on this site will be conservative on prices, and they will do a good job of looking at these "whats it worth " questions and seeing lots of small things that send up a red flag on a for sale car.

That said Barbee, there is plenty of profit/negotiation room in that there car...

I think he could make a pretty good deal on it assuming it is not an absolute pile. It looks decent in the pics... The small stuff like zipties and hose routing is easy to remedy.
I would agree 25k is way too much. But 15k is not unreasonable if its decent.

Its a clone. Worth the cost of making it into a what ever and the value of parts!! Maybe!!!
OR.. worth whatever the seller accepts and the buyer pays!!?????? You should be happy and no one else!!

Looks like someone half arsed the whole car to flip it, like they did a spray paint restoration. Bumpers are painted. All exterior stainless and aluminum are painted silver. Interior vacuum plated chrome is painted silver. The console is silver and black, as are the grilles. I think the fuel cap is wrong? No curb side pentastar? Hood's weird?

Something is just off about the whole thing in my book. Like someone bought a parts car with a bunch of mix matched extras. Put a paint job on it and assembled to flip.

Idk,
Keith

Really ? I didnt catch all of that. Pics on my phone are too small.
In that case I agree

Actually the whole front end is not original. The header panel and hood are wrong. I think it's a 68 header panel. Maybe a 67 hood. But I may have misspoke on the flip top. I think it's correct.

The 69 is crested like so.

yeah well ...I have a 67 header panel and seats in my 68. And its originally a black/black 318 car that is now White/Black with a hot 360. I wouldn't take less than 17k for it.

Its my Frankencuda...lol

Understood but you're not selling yours as a restored 1968. I'd be interested in knowing the VIN (not yours the car in question). Just don't want someone to buy something thinking it's something it isn't.

I have no dog in this fight. Just being observant. That's why it's hard to buy from dealers, they just don't know. Wonder what the dealer has into it?

Underhood looks like crap, check out the heater hoses....you can bet the rest of the car is just as poorly put together

^^^^^^^^^^^probly has a bad heater core , tail pipes look like sh-- , rear wing aint much better , not a fastback !!
Could b a sharp car if the right person got a hold of it-----

Dealer picked the price after watching a Barrett Jackson auction on TV!

I think the price is extremely inflated because some two bit, sleazy little dealership who knows nothing about classic cars thinks they have a gold mine. That's what I think.

Me thinks you are on to something there.

Not yet at work in Alaska at the moment, Im going to look when I get home if its still there.
I think they paid somewhere between 8,500 and 12,500 MAX..
The paint job and body work had better be every bit correct if they were to going to get my 15k.... 25k? no. LOL....

my opinion is if it was a '73 Duster in the same condition inside and out with the same drivetrain, it would sell for 12-14k. I think the notchback '69 in the same condition brings 18-20k. At least in my area.
