Just got a 71 Duster Project. It's missing a lot and the engine wiring harness among other things. But I'm wondering what sensor goes in this spot in the firewall. I found it is some pictures, so I know it wires into a harness but what is it and what does it do? Perspiring minds need to know...

Sorry I didn't get all of it in the picture. It's in the upper area of the pic. Two bolts hold it to the firewall.

Thank you for your help. I'm going to get a better picture, if I can. In the photo I linked, it is a hole above the firewall seam with two bolts screwed into the firewall. I found a picture of one with a sensor with two wires plugged into it.
