....if I have taken over as the "official track" camera guy...I sure as hell hope not .
Yesterday was the Chris Denison Memorial race. The car that Chris raced is now being ran by his Grandson, if I heard things correctly. The track camera guy was not around so....

I think I did alright. Except for letting my computer use the Histogram to adjust highlights/shadows/blacks/whites straight out of the camera....

Doug I think it looks fantastic! What I think is even better is the fact that you've found this hobby/vocation/avocation.......whatever it's turning into. I think it's saved your life. I tell Kitty that all the time. So happy for you man!

I agree with RRR. You shoot awesome pictures. Be proud of that.

Kind of a dream job if you ask me!
Nice photos as always.

Ok so I think we are in agreement the great quality pics you take, soooo can you add a few to the "Hot Mopar Babes" thread?

Nice photo as always. Was Chris White running Barbie today, along with the rest of the Mopar regulars.

Thank you...I appreciate all the kind comments......This is the longest I have ever pursued a hobby in my life. I really enjoy this. The tracks future is seriously up in the air right now. There was an article in the paper recently that...well...who knows...

I do know that the current promoter has had enough. Social media, while it can be a great thing...can also create a lot of problems. He was going to call it quits at the end of last year....but decided to give it one more year.

Yes, Chris was there.

Always enjoy chatting with Chris. One of the Mopar regulars showed up with a "new" ride....don't remember his name....

...and I got a guided tour of a HellCat Charger by this young man....

I mentioned Social Media earlier...well...I got into an argument with a keyboard warrior who pretty much has done nothing but bad mouth the track. I tried to explain to him that his actions were not only potentially putting the knife in his own back but all the other folks that frequent both the drag strip and the road course at SCR. He told me to "mind my own business and stick to taking pictures". Well...he showed up with his turbo shitbox mower...I mean Honda. I did not recognize him at first with the helmet on. I aimed my 400mm lens at his eyes, when he appeared to look at me, I dropped the lens and turned my back to him. He made at least half a dozen passes....with me turning my back to him on every pass. I should have been the "better person" and took some shots of him but...well...

As to the Mopar Babes comment. I have an open invitation to go shoot at any event that a local group of females attends....just never seem to be able to fit them into my calendar....lol...

You should have went over there and ***** slapped his dumb ***. He can bad mouth the track on his computer but he has the balls to show up and use the facilities?

Yep, he needs a mud hole stomped into his ***.

Did you say anything to him? Then you were the better person. You showed your displeasure by not taking his picture. Fair enough, more than he deserved.

No Sir, I did not. I walked right by him in the staging lanes, looked at him and he looked away. Nuff said....
I have asked the owner of this wagon to do something about the rear axle vent just dangling in the wind.

It is sort of like a hypnotists watch.....I'm afraid one of these days I may start following him down track in some sort of trance....every time I kneel down behind the car I see the thing...just swinging around...and feel myself starting to drift off....:rofl:
