Every now and then a thread like "68 bigboy" pops up...and everyone has something to say. Well I've got something to say...use common sense! FABO, Joey, and the community here at large are wonderful.
I've bought parts and even whole cars on here. Not one of those was from a "regular poster".
With tens of thousands of members nobody can remember them all. There's probably 30 people that post regularly. The other 50,000 aren't scumbags. I routinely PM people local to me that need something I have. Every single person has been great. I've had at least a dozen FABO guys come to my house to pick up parts for free that they need(glass, wheels, body panels, ect). I've also bought from FABO guys(10hr+ trips, ect)... never a problem.
My whole point here is personal responsibility. I actually speak to the person on the phone. I feel them out. If I get fucked... it's not on FABO or Joey, it's on me. I failed...not FABO, Joey, the internet, or modern society.
Let's not let a lack of personal responsibility ruin the number one source of A body parts on the planet. I'm not as old as some of you, but I am far from a millennial. I don't have Facebook, ect...but I'm not an idiot either. I'm an eye contact, handshake guy.
I honestly didn't read all 11 pages, and don't care to. If a guy on the internet tells you that he'll pay you payments based on his social security, ect....why the hell would you agree. Would you take the same deal from a crackhead in an alley?
