Centre section prices?

What would be a fair asking price for a nice quiet open 3.55:1 8 3/4 centre section?
 
I would go maybe 250 and shipping. Doesn't really matter which case it is. They are all about the same strength. Now watch that argument ensue for 15 pages. They ship real nice flipped upside down in a 5 gallon plastic bucket. Just tape a cardboard cover real good on the top and it'll ship good. I've done a few like that. I think it was a little over 75 dollars to go from Georgia to Arizona.

Just make sure you don't cut your nose off to spite your face when quoting shipping. You got that Canada thing goin on so you need to make accurate shipping quotes so you don't get burned.
 
Chlorine tablet buckets with the screw lids work the best. A 5 gal bucket usually aren't tall enough. Plus I cut a piece of 3/4" plywood the exact dimensions of the bottom of the bucket to prevent them from breaking thru. UPS, FedEx hate these things because of the Weight, usually about 85-90 lbs, Check shipping, these have gone way up to ship. Also insure it. FedEx and UPS have both lost one for me.
 
I sold a 489 3.55 open for 200$ local and it sold quick.
