Glutton for Punishment
I recently power washed the axle from my Dart project. As far as I know, this is the original axle from my 71 Dart and the tag states that it has a 2.73 ratio. The engine was a 318, if that makes any difference. Some of the markings have been obscured and I am trying to find out what they should be, if anyone can help. This view shows the position of the markings that I am interested in. The first (yellow) is near the right end of the tube and the second (pink) is near the pig on the right side tube.
I can't really tell what the first character is in the pic below. Is it a "1"? I don't see anything that would tell me that this might be a partial of another character? Any ideas?
In the above image, the "14" is pretty clear. The first character looks like it might be a "G". any other ideas? I have not been able to find any reference information on-line anywhere and figured that this would be a good place to start. I would also appreciate any direction where I might find the info that I am looking for. Thanks for any help you can lend! L8r
