We are going to do a haunted trail on my land, as a fundraiser for my grandson's baseball team. They are trying to raise money for a trip to Destin, Florida next June, to play in the little league tournament. I have 5 acres, about 2/3 is heavy woods. We have made a path through it already. I figure we have enough space for at least 25 "scare points". At the entry point, I cleared enough space along side the trail, to put up a 24'X40' shop. I'm going to make it a graveyard. Somewhere along the trail, I'm going to put my '48 Plymouth, with either someone dressed as a gangster, with a Tommy Gun, or a skeleton inside. I'm looking for suggestion for scare points, that won't cost a lot of money to do. We do have liability ins. arranged, and we are going to have a concession stand.

That sounds like a hoot! Is it going to be a "hay rack wagon ride", or will it be a walk through? Anything thing that you can drop from the tree limbs, rubber snakes, bats, scare crows, dummies...drop it down and reel it back up for the next group. Chainsaws (without the chain) is always a rise, and menacing looks from rubber masked individuals that seem to be closing in on you. Firecracker salutes on way will keep on your toes for sure. Good luck sounds like fun.

Thin fishing line hanging from trees, like spider webs. Dude in a hockey mask with a chainsaw to chase them out of a certain area.

We did a haunted house for a few years with my church youth group, I'll remember more in a bit

A life sized cutout of my ex wife will scare them... So much that they may run away.... So make it one of the last scare points....

Have someone with a running chain saw without a chain dressed in a monster costume...

It's a walk through. Good ideas. Lots of tree limbs to hang stuff from.

One tree on my property with an old bullet wound near eye level.

One plastic eye from a child's toy found by the curb and......

it saw what you did last summer.jpg

Those are always fun. A long time friend and I used to help a local motorcycle stunt legend do one on hos property every year. While it is fun, let me give you some advice. You need to print forms up basically stating that while on your property, you're not held responsible for any thing that happens to trail goers and have each of them sign one and retain them. All kinds of things can happen there. People run over each other. Even snakes and such. You are in the woods. I say this because our friend was sued when one group got excited and started running. They ran over a teenage girl and broke her ankle. Parents sued......and unfortunately won. So our friend never did another one. I know it sounds stupid. You gotta protect yourself, because no one else will.

Thanks for the advise. I’ve already discussed that with the coach, plus we will have a $million insurance policy. Shame so many are sue happy these days.
