Fluid in the damper

-
AGREE I GOT ONE ON MY 440/505 , GET THE BLACK ONE, THEY WERE OUT WHEN I BOUGHT MINE , I KNEW THE CHROME SUCKED FOR USING A TIMING LIGHT , BUT BOUGHT IT ANYWAY .
People that don't like fluid dampers should put a hand full of marbles in a can and stir it/while shaking the can, (rattler type damper) then put in molasses and stir it while shaking it
Notice the difference , which one dampens the stirring paddle the most ?!!!

I use one. This motor has seen 9300 on the recall. 8 yrs no vibration it was very smooth. on a 70 and up car use a 69 back lower pulley and the belts line up . Also it is smaller in Diameter so it under drives.

I also like that they're marked to 50° BTDC and every 90°. On mine, zero was off one mark(2 °) from true TDC, always check 'em...and be prepared to hone it, they come tight. Did .001 on mine; perfect.
