Ya, that was the first time back to the track after building a 500 ci stroker. Never did that before with the 440. That was the 3rd pass , first 2 was with the foot brake a couple easy passes. 3rd I let it eat on the trans brake. It was funny after the fact, I couldn't see out the front so I was looking out the driver side door. On the bumper I was blowing by a chevelle in the left lane. Just feathered the throttle to set the front end back down. Hit the gas as it was coming back down and didn't even get a bounce.
That pass made a mention in Drag racing online ( I think it is called).
The track photographer, Brett Kempner at the time also did work with them and put a photo and caption about me. My 1 second of racing fame. Lol.
Man I miss that money pit.
