Center carb 340-6

-
Just offhand I'd think any primary side, center inlet, dual feed Holley float would work.

I'd pick a Holley 4v, say a 3310, and look it up for that.

Speak with Al at Chicago Carburetor. He has everything you could every possibly need.

center giving us a hard time flooding @ idle gathering some parts before pulling it off. play with needle & its okay for a little. Thinking float related - tab bent. We'll see. Ordered parts from Chicago carb.

Maybe check idle air bleeds for blockage. My experience is that float problems cannot be fixed by adjusting idle needles....

I need a new tank and related hardware. Tank, straps, j bolts, neck grommet, strap insulator. Suggestions on a one stop shop ?

Not sure about a one stop shop, but I should mention that you can use a fine piece of wire to check the idle air bleeds without removing the carb. The suggestion to remove the bowl screws and visually check the fuel level in the bowl was a good one too. If the fuel level is correct, your float is working. Which get's to other possible issues. Those idle needles have O rings around them, possibly those are leaking due to age......

All is well with carb now - need a new tank & all related hardware. Cork o rings on fuel/air adj screws were shot- screws loose & sloppy before & after they snugged up nicely.

If your fuel gauge is working now, I'd save your tank float gauge and clean it up if it's an original Mopar float. I had a heck of a time finding one that was accurate. Also I used a Spectre tank from Rockauto for mine, but don't know if they are one stop for all you need.

Since I have a 440 6bbl, a couple of questions:
Are your outboard carb idle mixture screws accessible, IOW no lead plugs? Having those adjusted properly was a HUGE part of getting my 6bbl dialed in.
Reading this tuning tip was THE epiphany for dealing with the biggest hurdle in having a great running, idling 6bbl:

going to try that simple check with the bleed holes - if it is set correctly it won't increase or decrease ? Think end carbs still have the plugs

If I couldn't have adjusted the outboard carbs, my 440 would never have run properly. When I had my running Holley carbs modded by Promax, to accommodate current motor mods and even more importantly, future significant mods, I had the angled idle mixture screws throttle plate installed in the rear carb.

Correct. If it does change, for your own sake, remove the lead caps and gently, ever so slowly and MUCH more slightly turn the idle screws on the outboard carbs! They are WAY more sensitive to adjustment! I knew the outboard carbs were a problem when I bottomed out both idle mixture screws on the center carb metering block and the engine ran better.
The outboard carbs were contributing WAY too much fuel AND air. The air part was fixed by adjusting the rods that "hold them closed" and likewise slide out of the way in the slot of the center carb mechanism that allows them to open.

Careful turning those needles- on a lot of the outboard carbs I've read that the needles are frozen in place. Tried that on my brother's and the screw heads broke off. Maybe we should have used some heat or something. But we were able to compensate on his by reducing the center carb idle air holes.

I didn't have any problems, BUT I have also read that.
IF your engine increases or decreases idle speed when you follow the procedure I posted, you MUST make the adjustments, in my opinion, it can be THE difference between is-so and OMG! performance from the 6bbl! Replacement needles are available, but none of us can buy back wasted time, and time is too short to have a 6bbl that isn't dialed in!
