Why would you disagree about ammo @j par ? You have people fist fighting and stealing over toilet paper how do you think they will react if they run out of food? I'm not stocking up on ammo because I stay stocked up on ammo 24/7 365!
that means you're a day short this year...you better stock up

I'm trying to stock up on patience.....

I have a feeling I'm going to need all the patience in the world to deal with all the crazies around here for the next month or two....

Okay I'm going to say it... I think stocking up on ammo is the most ignorant thing I've heard so far...
I remember Y2K LOL when all my co-workers we're stealing the hand sanitizer out of the porta potties.. stocking up on ammo and buying generators... January 1st or 2nd when we went back to work I couldn't stop laughing at them...
You know when my mom lived in the Virgin islands about I don't know 10 or 15 years ago when Hugo came through there and devastated the island... People got together and share their resources and help each other out... They didn't run out into the streets killing each other...
People need to stop being so ignorant....
no I'm going to unwatch this thread because I don't even want to see any more of the stupidity anymore...

Tan distributer caps without the dumb black peep hole, ECU units made in the USA, Wix oil filters, ..OOOh, you mean that stuff. Well all the stores are out of TP and paper towels, so as a car guy I went to the automotive section in Walmart. Bingo, a shelf filled with blue Scott paper towels and the RV section TP!..!

You guys need to slow down on your ammo purchases. We started working 6 days a week when everyone started buying it all up.

It's crazy how it's selling right now, there are gun shops that have sold off their complete inventory, guns and ammo and had to close until they can restock. That's why you don't wait until these scenarios rear their ugly head, I buy cheap and stack deep during calm periods.

Same here. I buy throughout the year. That way I dont have to deal with trying to find what I need and overpay for it.

Stockpiling… NO. Business as usual, the wife buys what we need nothing more and nothing less. If it really comes down to the wire, the wife and I probably could survive a couple of weeks on what we have in our pantry and freezers. Then a course having electricity is the key factor, no electric no freezer.

At my age I just don’t care to get into the prepper mentality, had witness enough of this, “the little boy cried wolf” scenario’s via news media, government/big business, and the like….

If they start rationing out beer then I may get a little pissed…. Lol

Unwatch, ignore lists, etc--just ways to bury your head in the sand.
I disagree with what you are saying 100%. It's like saying buying gold is ignorant. Ammo is an investment in the future. Maybe not the near future or even in your lifetime, but someday.

Freezer and panty stays full anyway. Guess I could use more 12 ga shells for squirrels if it lasts too long. Need more Tylenol and aspirin I guess. Hope to get the garden in next week maybe IF it stays warm.

Might want to stock up on Depends undergarments if your "pantys" are full !

Dont know how to do the eye pokey thing ....lol

I have a friend that worked for ATK ammo during the last ammo buying frenzie . He laughed and said the only production shortage was the hours in the day !

Beans and weiners are still in good supply. 15" tires, not so much.

I have a friend who's a doctor. He said the worst is yet to come and this is for real. In Italy, they are determining who's going to live and die due to lack of respirators. Iran is screwed and the US is trying to catch up. Pre existing conditions are not required for every case. A male in his late 40s died less than 1 week after coughing uncontrollably and was brain dead upon arrival to hospital. (Rochester, NY) A person coughs in the store and the particles remain airborn for 3 hours. Corona can survive 3 days on plastic.

Mostly parts for the cars. I’m the only one going to my shop, which is my usual, working by myself with no distractions, except for the state of the world. Stocked up on random engine parts, gaskets, rtv. Wish I had the paint at this point and, I would hate to have to put my car together with old window gaskets and in primer. Have enough food and stuff, also a bidet, so not really worried about the TP.

Since you quoted me... I'm not putting my head in the sand, I'm on a car forum to talk about cars not the ignorant ramblings of morons...

There is a big difference between hording and stock piling and being prepared for the worst. No I didn't go buy tens of thousands of rounds I'm not ever gonna use. But I keep enough hand that if something happens and I cant buy it for a while or never again I have enough to last awhile. I do that with everything all the time. Not just in a pandemic or panic situation. I always keep deer and beef in the freezer and canned goods stocked up and extra cases of water and packs of new batteries. It's being prepared and ready for the worst. Iv always prepared for the worst and prayed for the best lol. I'd rather have something and not need it that need it and not have it.
