Has anyone used eaton (EAT-HT2011 or EAT-HR2011R) hyd lifters before ?
Looking for opinions to go with a new cam on a 318la

ask
send a pic
snap ring or wire retainer

They are made by Eaton/ McQuay Norris. I haven't heard that brand in many, many years. Back when I was a parts peddler, they were US made, I couldn't tell you now. Google isn't much help when searching them.

I believe Eaton lifters are what Brian at IMM spec'd and sent me for use with my Comp cam. Not sure which ones though. They've worked very well so far in the 4-ish years I've been using them. Like any hyd lifter these days though, they still bleed down a bit after sitting for a couple weeks.

Eaton got out of the flat tappet lifter business about 15 years ago and sold their manufacturing capabilities to Stanadyne.

Stanadyne is out of the lifter business now.

When Eaton decided to get back into the flat tappet business they bought out a Mexican manufacturer..... Morestana(I think that’s how it’s spelled).
I believe that’s where the current Eaton flat tappets are produced.

I was told the Eaton's are made in Brazil... in any event they are not US sourced anymore.
