Hi everyone, I hope this kind of post is acceptable to make here. My roommate left for California from Indianapolis yesterday morning, with all of his toys in tow -- He was driving his Maroon 2001 F-250 extended cab with a 2003 Yamaha R6 in the bed, towing an enclosed trailer with his BMW M3 and go-kart, as well as a bunch of other goodies. He stayed the night in Oklahoma last night, just off of I-44. I don't know which town he was in as he's still pretty upset and I don't want to pester him about it -- I'll update this thread when I know. This morning he woke up, and all of it was gone. Police found the trailer backed down a ditch with the M3 still in it (now with a smashed driver's window), and everything from the trailer missing. The truck and motorcycle are still MIA. Attached is the best photo I have of his rig, behind the sonoma. It's a maroon 2001 F-250 extended Cab, 2WD, 7.3 Powerstroke with holes in the bed and mismatched wheels/tires. License plate is Indiana 459NSK. If you see it or the motorcycle (will post plate if I find it), please contact the local authorities. They have his contact info and will notify him.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I know this won't help much but there's nothing much else I can do three states away. Thank you all, I hope he is able to recover his belongings.

Bastards ! Good luck hope they shoot the pricks !

You wonder how people can pull stuff like this off. How do they act so silently? How are they in the right place at the right time? Do thieves case hotels off the interstate on a regular basis? Scumbags.

When I worked at a dealership, we came in one morning to find a brand new Ram 3500 gone.
We looked at the video and watched a truck pull up, a guy hop out and was in the truck and gone.
The whole thing, start to finish, took about 3 minutes. Most of that was waiting for the diesel to heat to start.
It amazed us that these guys knew exactly what to go after and the speed they did it. They had to have a key cloned and ready to go.
These weren't tweakers, these guys were pros.

Yes. Scumbags are everywhere..

I knew a guy who raced a blown gasser with a flip up front clip. Blew a trailer tire on the way home. Afternoon, broad daylight, less than 100 yards from a gas station. He decided to hoof it over there to call a tow. By the time he made it back the car had been stripped of the intake and everything up from there (blower included), took the fire extinguisher, slicks, flip front end and unbolted his tool boxes from his truck and made off with those and their entire contents too. Couldn't have been more than 20 mins and on the side of a busy highway (I5 in Northern CA, of course) to boot!

That's too bad. Thief's bother me in a bad way. Sorry to read this and I hope they find it all.

Unfortunately yes they do. They even seem to know which hotels have exterior cameras and which don't.

My Brother stopped and checked in at a Motel, put his gun and a few bags in the room and started off on his bike to go find dinner but got a bad feeling about some kids hanging around in the parking lot.
After about being two blocks away he circled back to find some teenage girl going through his stuff.
Come to find out she was the Daughter of the Motel owners.

You can look around most anywhere when setting at a stop light , and about ''pick out'' the asshats just looking for something to steall.
I`d bet a lot of it hits the road to mexico immediately!

One thing Islam does right is handle thieves.

You should not be surprised. State Farm and Allstate are two of the worst. You usually need an attorney to get paid for substantial claims from these rackets.

Stealing a man's transportation is akin to horse stealing. Around here auto theft is an overlooked misdemeanor. Seen as your fault for being dumb enough to allow the theft.

Horse stealing , used to be a hanging offense ! now with the bleeding hearts , no capital offense , = reason for more and more crime !
