Hello A-body guys!
I just bought a 1965 Barracuda project, it's for my wife, its her dream car, got a great deal on it. It's supposed to be complete except for the windshield. Picked it up yesterday, its still sits on the trailer, full of parts. I never really worked a lot on an a-body before, I did have a 67 Dart GT for a few years in the mid 80's, and a 64 Valiant that my dad gave me when I got my license. I do work on e-bodes, have 2 Challengers and a 70 Barracuda. restoring the Challengers and driving the Barracuda for now.

But looking at all the parts I got, there is some that I do not know what they are, mostly odd brackets etc. The previous owner welded some patches in the floor and changed the quarter wheel lips, and some patches in the wheelhouses. It's undercoated right now and I don't see any more rust on it, a small spot on a fender, thats about it. It has a redone 273, 030 bore, new pistons, cam, pump, bearings etc. (got receipts for all engine work stuff) And a 4 barrel intake with a Holley (think it's a 600). The engine has been sitting 15-20 years after being redone though, (maybe I should take it aparts and check it, grease the bearings?) 904 tranny is redone by a shop. All chrome seems nice, interior needs work.

Looking forward to work on this car, I will have questions during the build, it's gonna be a driver.

Welcome from Texas. Piece the car together loosely & see what all you have, & what is missing. Take it from there & begin building your wife's dream car. Just remember, "Happy wife, happy life".

Welcome!! Ahhhh... Sweden, my great grandparents came from there.... :)

Thanks for the warm welcome! I will start a build thread soon, with pictures.
@swedefish , I'm in Älvkarleby, north of Uppsala, that's mid Sweden east coast by the Baltic sea for you Americans.
The car has been in boxes since the early 80's, hard to go thru all parts and try to figure out what goes where on a
model you don't know that well. Found many parts that I don't think belong on this car also.

Nice Car, my wife likes them too. Welcome from Ohio, I am from Europe/Austria, but currently living in the US.

Cheers,
Wolfgang

Cool, been to most of Europe, but never there though. My wife is American, we lived in L.A for 10 years.

Welcome from Texas. You have a lucky wife. She lets you have have more than 1 Mopar and wants one for herself. Does she have a sister. Asking for a friend:poke:
