Sitting waiting to get my trailer loaded...

Anybody have the weight of a stock bare 340 rod? I'm 300 miles from home...

Do you need the big end and small end weight or just the total weight?
Total rod weights of stuff hanging on the rack : 745.4g, onward up to 759.5g

Thanks...close to what I remembered.

I ask because I just bought a used set of Crower I beam rods and they are 745 so that means I won't have to balance again.

The RaceTec pistons I had made are within a couple grams of my old Ross pistons...

Thanks again.

The weight for a 1971 340 con rod without the bearing shells is listed as 758 grams.

The weight for a 1971 340 piston is 719 grams.

My whole lightweight rotating idea came crushing down on me when I weighed my crank @63#'s and the light pistons I ordered came with full skirts, heavy pins and a stock ring package. At least it will be sturdy..
