Depends on how fast the car is going to go. If the car is going to be certified for 9.00 or faster then you should get the local NHRA tech guy on the line or have them stop by your shop and take a look. If it is just going to run 10's or 11's then you are probably fine as is. We did an X in my car even though it is just a street car. I liked the way the X looked so I had the chassis shop do it. The X costs more money since it takes time for them to properly fit the tubing.
