I'm working on my 1970 Dart with a standard gauge cluster. I talked to folks at Instrument Specialties about testing/restoring my gauges (of unknown status) because I really don't want to take this cluster in and out multiple times (including the freshly restored bezel). I said something to IS about new circuit boards and they really bad mouthed the repop circuit boards that are available from several sources (seem to all be the same manufacturer). I also found a source for new Temp and Fuel Gauges (Herb's). I use an ammeter mounted under dash for safety so the one in the dash is a dummy anyway. None of these repops are cheap, but they are not outrageous.

Has anybody used these repop circuit boards or gauges and how are they working??? Thanks for your help!

Put one in my '69 Dart last summer, it comes with a new voltage limiter. RT Specialties? Probably got it from Mega Parts. No issues, but think that I need to get my gauges recalibrated.
Let me check on the board.

Don't think that it was RT Specialties. Year One is the only one I found. Can buy the pair or individually. No limiter, shows a picture in the pair of one, but says without.
Did not check Classic Industries.

Bought mine off ebag years ago, at least 5 if not longer, no issues.
I transferred everything from my stock cluster, including the gas gauge redone by a fabo member a decade ago, plus a small ground harness I made for everything which is grounded to a bolt I welded behind the dash. No ammeter.

These guys sell them as well. They have a booth at Moparfest every year.

I got a restored cluster from them. It is well done looks like a brand new piece. Only thing I had issues was the voltage limiter. It was not working right. Sometimes gauges worked then nothing. Finally bought a solid state limiter and all was good!!

You got it from Premium Dash Decals? Did it use repop circuit boards? How long have you been running that cluster?

Thanks for any answers!
Yes I got it from them. However, left that cluster as a spare. I really only needed the speedo but a new speedo was about what this cluster cost! So just took speedo and replaced my broken one. So I'm still using factory circuit board. Theirs has a green aftermarket. Not sure how well it works yet.

Might jump over to the slantsix.org site and see if Doug Dutra's son Allen has a contact over there. That's what he does. Designs and makes circuit boards. I don't know if he's into automotive or not, but he might know who to point you to if not him.
