Hello all,
V8 throttle pedal assemblies are pretty difficult to come by for the early A’s these days so I wanted to see what options I have. I want to have it figured out soon because if I need to weld something I want it done before I get into paint soon. I’m not by any means a purist but i still want something that looks good and that I could get to match my brake pedal with little work. Thanks!

Keep in mind I am not a purist but am a racer. Wilwood makes nice pedals. You can purchase all three as a set, or purchase individual pedals. Keep in mind it will not by any stretch match factory, but gives you a lot of fabricating options. You can change out brake and clutch to match? Likely a bit to modern looking? If you look close you can see a set being installed in my Demon. Just an option.

I have put floating type pedal assemblies from Diplomats or 5th Aves into early A bodies. It has been a long time but welded pedal bracket to floor and routed cable thru firewall...pretty easy.

I'm in the process of putting a later model A-body throttle pedal assembly into my 66. It fits fine - just gotta bend the pivot rod a tad. I started a thread a while back about it and will post photos when I'm done. Point is, a slant 6 pedal from a 67+ A-body works fine.
