Thinking of buying the Holley intank fuel pump that fits your stock tank but it is for fuel injection. 58 psi. but was hoping all I need to do to run a carburetor is install a regulator to knock it down to 6-8 psi. pump has a intank return system. has anybody done this.

I had Tanks inc in Iowa I believe, they built my 66 Barracuda tank with the Bosch pump for my FI Tech injection. I used a 3/8” fuel line for the primary and a 5/16 stock line return; both from inline tube
Intank pumps are great BUT they take up a lot of fuel room. Plus the baffles . I bet I am down to 7gallons of fuel.

I would tend to agree that it would be a really big drop for that pump. Not sure if it can stand it or not.

dont they make a low pressure pump , they would be missing a lot of sales ,TBI systems work with 12 lbs systems/ and a 20 psi pump.

No, "you're" missing the point. I was joking in the post of mine that you quoted.
