Going to look at a 70 duster soon. Guy says a 340 car. What would I look for on the vin tag/ vin # ?
Thanks in advance!
Al

VS29H0Bxxxxxx. H is what denotes it as a 340 car. VIN on dash, radiator support on drivers side....on back side next to radiator, and on the top of the package tray if you can get to it. No VIN under the trunk rubber on a Duster. It should have a Rallye dash, front sway bar, and both factory exhaust pipe hangers right in front of the axle. Good luck! :)

Where on the car body would I look for the vin # to match it to the title? On a 70 duster.

Did more talking to the guy about the duster. Not a real 340 car. But it has 340 stripes.
:realcrazy:
But it has a 318 in it that won't stay running. 7 1/4 rear & a 904.

Ok , where is a easy spot to find the vin # stamped in body panels on a 70 duster. Where at on the radiator support?
Elsewhere?

Drivers side of the radiator support, on the vertical edge on the radiator side. If the package tray area is just the metal without the cardboard on it, there will also be a partial VIN stamped on the top side.

Thanks guys , that's all I can find on the web also.
