The word technology, and the aura behind it is the new-age, man-made, lower-case g, god of this world. It has been wrapped in gold-foil, and infused with magic and sorcery, to be the destruction of all mankind. The lemmings will all run over the edge and be destroyed, of their own free-will choice.
But hey, don't take my word for it, lol; just hang around for a bit, and watch the World transform, right before your foggy lying eyes.
