Thanks, was measuring the Gates pump stub ID and was thinking of drifting in a freeze plug or something and pinning it if I could find something suitable but not likely. I’d prefer to stick a NPT plug in there if I can.
Couldn’t source just a 3/4-14 npt tap quick enough, the threaded plug is easy enough to source but instead I found some 3/4” freeze plugs, and had some 7/8” axle king pin cupped caps to use. Lined the bypass stub with thread sealant, and as it tapers slightly from about 7/8” down to 3/4” drifted the freeze plug down a ways till good and tight, then used some more thread sealant and drifted the 7/8” cap in place just like you would with a king pin install. Might help the next guy who comes along wondering on ways to plug things
