The next project/puzzle i have in my shop. 73 duster 340 auto on the floor. It needs quarters, trunk floor, trunk ext. tail light panel, rt rocker, outer wheel wells, all rear brackets & braces. Also he wants it mini tubed & leaf springs moved in. Im finishing what someone else started.

Boy this one makes mine look wonderful, it is amazing the cars we would have never bothered with 30 years ago are now sought after and such massive reconstruction to bring them back to their former glory. I'm sure it will be awesome when done. My 74 Duster 360 was already tubed and hacked on, so it gets a 440 instead of restore.

I have done this before and wished I did something with all this available space for the tire and trim back the wheel lip that returns into the wheel well, does not need to be almost two inches wide. Pie cut the outer wheelhouse and tuck that outer wheel house lip right to the quarter panel. Then take out the useless piece in the outer wheelhouse that narrows the wheel tube and open it up. Then fab a piece in. You and your customer will be so happy. I don’t know why the factory did not make the Duster’s own wheel house and not use the barracuda one.

One good thing about this project the guy is not afraid to spend money. Instead of doing a lot of rust work he is willing to buy new. what ever i need All new inner & outer wheel wells. As you see someone else has installed the rt side already.
yes i hate rust work but you throw a bunch of new body parts at me then it gets fun
this one isnt going to be restored back to original mini tubbed springs moved in sassy grass green with stain black hood
