They did not do that JUST to the "Glory 340".
A 2.2 Shelby rated at 110 HP was dynoed at 118 dead stock. Then the Air Pump belt was cut and now it was 124HP, changed the Champions out to some Autolite Copper Truck plugs 2 steps colder and got 126, three aircleaner gaskets netted another 1 HP and final was a real good tune on the computer and it was at 129.6 HP.
While not KILLER it is still under rated from the factory.
Post 1367, i made a parts list. Nothing special for deals.
So you can do it but we caint. Ok. lol

These same mods to a stock Shelby Charger that was running 17.02 +/- .03 seconds in the quarter at Jackson Dragway SC. We went to 16.98 by just cutting the airpump belt. When all done the car was running in the low 16.80's...

- 730 for Speedmaster heads fully loaded shipped to my door. A dozen other FABO members bought them too... right from the company!
- 400 for the short block, is that unrealistic for a LA360?? It included a cam about like a factory 360 4bbl cam.
- RPM intake 2nd hand for like 150... can't remember exactly
- 2nd hand 750 dp, 150.

I'm almost done with my 900 dollar 360, carb to pan !!! .... Can't wait till it hits the track. AND, you can bet I'll post a video for all to see... no secrets! And, it will include every component and cost incase somebody wants to build one. This is what I call "helping" the drive way builder on a tight budget. Yep, we play too.

One of these days I’ll post the current cost of the minimum machine work I say is required to do an actual rebuild of any V8. Doesn’t matter the brand or size, that cost is always the same. Then you can do the math. Who says I’m not happy? I enjoy watching you post up nonsense and then defending it.
