I have done some extensive research on line and within this forum to see if it is possible to get a reproduction of the vehicle manufacturer window sticker. At worse it appears this is a dead end project, and at best I have been able to find Triple A Enterprises. But they can't (at this time) produce one for my 1971 Duster. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate your input.

Find a good quality image or a real window sticker and go to town with photoshop

Lol, this should be good. Last person that asked basically got roasted/accused of trying to "clone" a high end car.

Fakes are available, but any fake documentation with a car de-values the car.

Fakes taint the cars history and the owners reputation also.

If it's a reproduction, it should be accurate to the car's fender tags and/or build sheet. Not sure how you would find out the original dealer info, but may be a way. That wouldn't bother me. Are my AMD reproduction body panels real or fake? If I use them to restore my Dart, will it be a fake? Of course I would prefer all original, but that's not happening.

Perhaps the OP has the origional but it is in bad shape and he just wants a looking good copy.

Are reproduction fender tags an issue?

Not looking for "fake" or anything to determine the value of the car. Simply for viewing and conversation starters when with other MOPAR folks. If they are not longer available due to the age of the vehicle, then so be it. Just trying to find out what is available (or not).

years ago you could buy anything like that at the MONSTER MOPAR events. Blank window stickers , vin tags , probably even titles. Thats probably where most the M codes came from.

If the information is accurate, is the reproduction document still a fake?

Nope, just a reproduction.
To the OP, I didnt mean to insinuate you were doing anything underhanded. Read thru the thread in the link and you will see what I mean lol

I am LMAO! I recently won Best of show at a bigger Mopar even in NY. No decals or documentation board. Plenty of shows where I’m competing against the 1998 v-6 mustang for top prize and plenty of documentation and they still loose. Honestly all that “paperwork” is great but it means crap if it’s not original. Let the car do the talking. The truth always prevails.

When you bought a new car yesteryear not many people really cared about the window sticker as long as everything on it was in the car. Many dealers would take a razor scrapper to it and it was a mess when they removed it. And of course not too many knew about the build sheet stuck under the rear seat or at the back of the glove box. Then in 3 years you got another new car until they became too expensive from $3000 in 71 to $5000 in 75. And of course no more muscle cars.

I noticed some dealerships are re- printing window stickers for their used cars.
They basically list the option packages and list the lower price total.

To date I have always found great support and enormously helpful information from this forum. if I knew this topic was going to result in this type of response I would have kept it to myself. All I wanted was a source to find what may have reflected what my Duster was when produced. If I do not meet your level of MOPAR respectability than maybe I am subscribing to the wrong forum. For those who offered honest responses, I thank you. To you others, enjoy you self appointed positions as MOPAR Royalty. As an after thought, why was someone competing against a 1998 Mustang at a MOPAR event? Now I am LMAO!

Don't let the "keyboard commandos" get you down.
There's alot of decent, honest guys here.

Don't sweat it man...people on the web are obnoxious, I had a feller on YT post a comment on my page then take it down before i could reply. I figured "oh well he really doesn't matter that much then..." anyway you do you with your car...no rules.:)

You are correct, this is a fantastic forum which has assisted me constantly in the past. Just frustrating when you ask a question and some of the responses are "less than helpful". Overall a great site and I would not give it up for anything.

@Hueydriver That's cool.... More reasonable people needed
Suppose I'm a bit of a heretic myself but I'm cool with that. All I have with my rig is the VIN tag. I'd love to have fender tags and build sheets...etc etc... not to be a fraud but just for my own enjoyment.

Best to ya.

Exactly what I am after. I have the VIN tag and a damaged decal/tag on the drivers door, but not other paperwork. Simply doing this for the enjoyment and knowledge obtained.

Its probably more for showing the car, you can have a binder with the sticker and build sheet etc. even if they are reproductions. You can have fun with it. I think people are concerned with faked cars. That takes a trained eye. Most cloned cars for example are easily picked apart IMO.

I do some early American history reenacting and the high end reproduction items that I acquire will have some watermark or hallmark to ensure others are not duped into believing it is a real deal. Now how someone might think that an early 19th century cup in pristine condition is real... Well... Dunno But it's fine, I don't represent it as otherwise and those familiar with the materials and construction of the period will identify the reproduction.

When I sold my 70 Charger a few years ago all the original paperwork was with it in perfect condition .
Window Sticker
Bill of sale
Build Sheets

I really like to see window stickers (monronis) on cars at shows . I dont care if its a repro or just made up to match the car . As long as its not being used to con someone on a sale.
I remember a 66 or 67 Chevelle 2 door wagon with a 327 / 4 sp /posi with the window sticker at a show in the 80s. It was cool to know you could order a wagon like that and the price of the options.
