Anyone bought a car that had a shipper involved with money everything?

Don't purchase a car from a shipper, in my humble opinion. Shipping a car is different.

I have had extensive email with seller. She has to leave for Canada to join husband with new job.
She can't take car, or hang around for sale. Has contracted shipper for all duties. The car is, 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Classic Mopar super clean
I am a little hesitant too, but will talk with banker before money transfer to see if I have protection. Any more thoughts?

Having a hard time believing you can buy that car for 14 grand... tread carefully and view the car in person...

Run, and don't look back... too many scams these days

I totally agree. Even if it's a 318 car in that shape more like 30 today for a Barracuda with a 340.

The seller MIGHT be legit but i could not find an address on their site.

I did some domain sluthing and came uo with this:

A little google map sluthing resulted in this:

Looks like a parking lot to me!

Tell them you have a network of Mopar enthusiasts all over the country and one would like to inspect the car in person.

IF they reply, hit us back. I doubt they will. I'm like others...very skeptical.

That's why I asked where the car was located. You have a lot of helpers out here.

Lots of people trying to steal your money.

Today my wife called to tell me the patio set she ordered off an ad on Facebook arrived from China. What arrived was a .30 necklace. F-ing people piss me off. Hopefully PayPal will make it right.

Yeah I got it. I think I'll cancel out of the deal. Price too good, and free shipping???

Thanks.

PJ's autoworld don't sell nuthin' for 14K.

Most cars I've seen usually have obvious bondo work/thick paint that is good enough not to show in photos but shows in person.

They also "know nothing" about the cars except what the previous owner told them. Even very obvious things like engine code VIN digits.

On another though the car is supposed to be in Indy. Address I have is,
4115 N Glen Arm Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46254
Anyone think they could get by there sometime soon?

Hmm, most of those photo's are exactly what this lady sent me, like she took them.

Since PJ's photos are online, anyone can save them and use them in a bogus listing.

My bet is that PJ's had that car listed for over 30K.

Note that some of the pics on PJ's site are in front of their multi-bay garage.

It's funny the things we overlook when we get horny for something. I got taken for $250 for a front bumper for a 1971 Dart that was supposed to get shipped. In hindsight, all the flags were there......Even with my wife bitchen' at me I still sent the money. That one cost me another $150 at the Keg for dinner:rolleyes:.

Be very careful. When I was looking for a Dart I'd see the same car with the same photos on different sites and all had different locations. In these scenarios the telephone is your friend, if you can't speak live with somebody there is a reason for that, it's a scam. Good luck and tread carefully in the digital world

Best way to find help is create a new post with a title such as "Can anyone Look at Car for me in Indianapolis ?" I'm sure there are some members around that would help.
