hey all,
i'm working on a 74 duster and i'm trying to locate a place to buy a pre cut overlay.can't seem to find one.also looking for a good replacement center dash speaker.any help is much appreciated,kent
 
i totally agree with RRR and dusterdenovo, call DMT they are absolutely the best people to deal with, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...Rich
 
I work with composites all day. Carbon fiber for a daily driver dash is like running forged pistons in a low compression daily driver.

If you are set on using it, you could easily get away with 1/16th" thickness for an instrument cluster.

I recommend against laying up your own unless you have the oven and controller to do the requisite temperature stepping for post curing.

Click that link I posted and read the top paragraph on that page. It tells about them having it.
 
Call DMT. If they don’t have the material you want listed they can make what you need, I’ve have custom overlays done by them before. They have a CNC, so it’s just a matter of using a different material with the file they already have.

I worked with Jim at DMT to get the lower rallye dash overlays made, we shipped a few things back and forth to get the whole range of years covered. He’s a good dude.

that's where i looked first.they don't have an ad to buy one.i emailed and called but no response.thanks though
