Which Radio is correct for a 70 Swinger. My radio code is R11 with a build date of 12/69

I think they had option for either but I may be incorrect. My dash was cutout so I cant tell you what was in my car....

if I had to take a guess and only one was available I'd say Thumbwheel in 70 turn knobs in 71...
 
From what I recall, the thumbwheel was in the Swinger 340 and the knob style was in the standard Swinger.

The Thumb Wheel Radio is in my car which is a 70 Swinger 340

I really do not know these cars, this is my first 70 Swinger and I have seen two different set ups so I was not sure.

The only caveat I see is the pictures show two ralley dashes. Ralley dash in that black woodgrain configuration was only in Swinger340 and Demon 340 in 71.( also Duster 340 70-71)

so... Swingier 340 vs Swinger doesn't apply when looking at the photos...:)

P.S. I'm not 100% sure but there may have been some Mexican/Overseas cars with a ralley dash also.
 
The 1970 Swinger 340 cars all had the thumb wheel tuned radios, still the factory R11 option, as factory supplied with the Swinger 340 only ralley dash. I can help you with factory photos from my original 1970 Swinger 340. I replaced a transistor on my original radio, and it works good.

I thought I had the right radio in my car, I had seen a few with knobs so I wanted to be sure.

Well, having a 70 with the radio ppart cut out for an aftermarket, Ill say thanks. I now know what would have been original in my car:)
 
I might have the bones of my sun baked steering wheel in my pile"O"spares. If I can find it, you can have it for the price of shipping. Merry Christmas.
