This isn't a for sale thread. I rescued Zeus from a life of isolation and neglect, unfortunately he doesn't get along with my other large male dog, gets along great with the other two females and two males. He's not aggressive at all, fairly quiet, may bark at a large truck or passerby,he's had all his shots, is on heart guard meds. just a good old dog that deserves better than i can provide here.
Logistics can be worked out on my dime, I just want him safe and comfortable.

What kind of dog? Do you have pictures and a rough guess on how old?
 
I wish you and Zeus all the luck, unfortunately I am a long way from you, and on the other side of the border. Zeus deserves a good safe home, really too bad that Hobo doesn't get along well with him.
 
Here are some pictures of Zeus taken this morning, going to the vet tomorrow for a check up, I'll post some medical info ASAP, he's had everything and been through the heartwom regimen.

There are carrier/delivery services similar to Uber that will transport pets...

My son has seen and told me about them and is thinking of trying it out as a driver....

He's not happy. And he knows there are problems..... You can see it in his eyes. Social media is your friend. Get the word out. Somewhere and someone will gladly take Zeus. Looks like a healthy dog.

I guess as a last resort have you thought about a trainer to see if it can be made to work? I have never personally done that but I'm hoping for a fairytale ending to the story.....

I have a son in NC that we may be able to persuade to do a leg of a relay to transport the dog to you...

Then maybe I can get him to visit me for a little bit....

If you guys find a home and someone needs help let's rally for Zeus and figure it out. My girlfriend does relays for Labs and they will move a dog coast to coast to get it a good home..... Easier than you think. If you want more info about doing that PM and I am sure she can give some advice on it...

I remember when you started feeding and giving him fresh water. Bless you for rescuing him. I have a heart like you and now have 4 rescues. I sure wish I had room for more cause I'd come get him.

He looks like he has some age on him and really needs a loving home with no other dogs. Check out this link. Groups That Love Helping Senior Dogs - The Senior Dogs Project. Unfortunately the one right down the road from you closed due to the health of the founders.

My Girlfriend she can help get the ball rolling with a Transport coordinator so if another member out of the area wants to inquire don't be afraid.....

Man, I really appreciate all the replies, offers, and suggestions. If I can find him a home of course i'll pay all the expenses.
True, he's not the same dog as before the fight, might be because he's sore, but maybe uncomfortable, he's out in the front yard now with the four other pups, he didn't start either fight, he's the proverbial gentle giant.
 
Another wish I was closer, he looks like he could use a hug. I've driven across the country for cars... I wish you the best in the quest for a new home for Zeus.
