New TCI Streetfighter won‘t shift in 3rd when hot

I do not disagree. But I as a foreigner I don‘t have much options.
It was a real battle to buy this problem from summit .
I understand. Just let me say this. If you have enough mechanical ability to change your oil, you can rebuild that transmission, if it's necessary. They are really very simple.

I already did a rebuild. I did everything on my car except the paint job.

I rebuilt my transmission 3 times.
1st time everything went fine.

2nd time I changed the converter from hughes to TCI (hoping to kill the vibration I am still facing). The converter exploded somehow and I had to clean and rebuild it again.

After the 3rd rebuild it started leaking.
I changed every gasket, every seal, but I couldn’t find it…

If I have to I will rebuild the TCI.
I know that TCI is not the best.
They sent me the tranny with a converter which’s holes didn’t align with the flexplate and the converter before exploded…:wtf:

Sounds like the inner lip seal on the direct drum to me. Ask me how I know. Just to throw in my 2 cents also...I always use ATF+4.

I love u guys. I just want to let u know <3

Front drum in the pic. No seal at all :‘D

That's disgusting. To think of all the trouble caused by some fool's apathy. I found a similar situation in a TCI trans; workers don't care. That trans wasn't even air pressure tested. It would have failed miserably. Test each drum on the pump mounted in a vise; then test again after the drums and pump are installed into the case. Only takes about 50 pounds.

Did a test drive today.
Everything went fine.
Big thanks to all of you!!

But no response from TCI so far…

Solution: Installing a inner piston seal ring ob the direct drum.

You will find it is very hard to get a response from them and when it comes time to making it right, they have a difficult time seeing it your way. I have first hand experience trying to make it right with another real error delivered to a customer.
