If you are replacing your Carter AFB carburetor with an Edelbrock 1406 or similar carb and want to use your original chrome air cleaner, here's how to do it. The Carter AFB has a 4" dia. top and uses a 3" high filter while the Edelbrock has a 5-1/8" Top. Buy the Edelbrock PRO-FLO air cleaner 1208 and use its 5-1/8" base. You then need a 3" high air filter to fit this base. The NAPA Air Filter 2093 fits the bill perfectly. Bolt on your original air cleaner.

I need to make up some more. Last 24 i had were gone in a month. Uses stock type commando air filter. I used a spectre replacement for stock commando air filter.

Will do Tom n Rich added you both to list for these
Ok, I have run into an issue that I have “fixed” just not happy with it and your base looks beautiful. Not to hijack, but I run the stock 68 340 unsilenced air cleaner. Which only allows for maybe 1/4”-3/8” gap between the lid and the base for all the air flow. Which is insufficient for my combo. So your base fits the eddy thunder/performer carbs and is how big in diameter? I would love to find a base that would give me a much bigger gap to my lid.

So looking at the application list it uses the 2 barrel 9.25” dia filter? 2.75” tall?

When you do make a batch I would be interested in one.
Thanks

Any chance you can make a base that I can use a seal on? I can send dimensions it is unusual, prob a hole in a 2x2 plate would work then I can trim it. If so shoot me a pm
