Replica of Corvair a good friend of mine had back in the day. Sadly, he was taken by cancer in '11. My son and I were talking cars the other day and I mentioned if I could find his Corvair, I would drive it even being a Chevy. He said I would make an exception for you on that one. :)
Close as I could get it with my limited skills. I had cut the fenderwells off the Barracuda chassis I'm using in the Valiant (looked GM on it) and thought I could put them in the Corvair (as well as reinstall the distributor I knocked off somehow) but alas, when I glued the sidepipes on, I can no longer take it back apart. Think I'll leave well enough alone.

My biggest challenge was cutting the hood (trunk) open. Used a Dremel and you can probably tell the gap is a little wide. After I had it cut, I bought a hot-wire foam cutter for $1.50 at an estate sale. It works great for cutting plastic. As a matter of fact, I cut the hood open on the Valiant body with it.
