Adjustable proportioning valve mounting location

My car has a spot under the car on the drivers side where the rear channel runs that had a residual pressure block (my car was disc/drum). I removed it and swapped in the proportioning valve that I have since removed and just put a splice in for Disc/Disc.

If you car doesn't have this then somewhere past the proportioning valve in the line going to the rear. Whatever works best for you.

Yup. If it's a stand alone adjustable valve it needs to be in the rear brake line behind the distribution or combination valve, which ever your car has. Beyond that it's up the the installer. Putting it somewhere you can get at without too much trouble is a good idea. Some people like to install them so the valve can be adjusted from inside the car, but that's not really necessary unless you want to be able to make adjustments on the fly. For most folks this is a "set it and forget it" type thing, so, I wouldn't do a super hard installation location just to get it so you can reach it from the seat unless you're racing competitively.
