Hello I was wondering if someone can helpe with easy to understand correct info please on a swap?a currently have a 1967plymouth valiant no motor or trans .I to put a mid size V8 4 speed trans and a large solid rear that's easy to pretty much just swap in with minor changes for general street little stip use and ias it possible to run 15inch tires or is 14 it,also what about 2inch headers with dual exhaust what trans and setup also ty and also about braking system and engine bay clearance ty very much for any help
 
What was in your car before. A 318 or 360 will go in perfectly as with a 4 speed. Did your car have a slant six, was it manual or automatic transmission. Give us details of what you have then you’ll get more answers than you can handle.

the answer is a pretty broad: it depends.

what you started with, how much you're willing to cut, beat with a big hammer or torch out; what rear end, how it's mounted, what wheels, what width you want, what kind of headers you want to run.

it'll all fit, it just won't be a simple bolt in.

You'll need a v8 cross member.
The upgrades are mostly bolt in, just swap as long as you have the right brakes n backing plates etc.
15 inch wheels n tires will fit no problem ...Given the bolt circle is the one you're using.
2 inch headers?? Small block street stuff with me 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 primary. Go with a 3 inch exhaust.
Power steering may hinder, just make sure the application is with power IF you have power steering.
 
Sorry i missed info ,it had slant 6, 3 on the tree,not sure of the rear end but I imagine it's a small one if it's a slant 6.can an 8 3/4 rear fit is it needed? i would like to run a 360-383 or 440, @least 300. horse w 4 speed and street strip rear what about trans converter ,can I do 15inch wheels what would my bolt pattern be

It originally had slant 6 3 speed trans not sure of rear but I imagine it is small I would like a large V8 with @least 350 horse 4 speed trans and street strip rear and 15inch tires @least in back

It had slant 63 speed

For Street and limited Highway use a 3.91 gear is good, or 3.73.
There are bracket kits to swap n retain the k member.
1 5/8 primary to 3 in collector headers would be fine. You already have the pedals in the car so you will need a four-speed shifter, a floor hump, and bell housing and corresponding clutch and flywheel which would be a 10 and a half
 
I would swap in a 5.9 Magnum. A good carburetor, intake and headers and good ignition and you'll be all over 300 plus HP.
 
Get this from Blueprint engines they are a vendor here and slap a four speed on it.

You may want to upgrade your front brakes as well I’m sure you have the small drum brakes with the small bolt pattern lugs. You can easily upgrade to later year brakes and control arms and spindles which will also upgrade to bigger bolt pattern so your wheel choices will be better. This site is a wealth of information. Your search bar can s your best friend. There are so many options you can do. Depending on budget all are great. Like anything you do get a budget narrow down your options.
