Snowstorms, sweltering heat, birthdays, skinned knees, iodine, bazooka bubble gum, baseball cards, Christmas, outdoor toilets, cocoa, the list goes on and on. All warm and fuzzy memories
We went outside in the snow, unless it was a blizzard, then we only went out to finish the paper route, as soon as the snow ended we were out with the shovels.True, what I find interesting is the way people need to complicate things. The kid doesn’t need a computer to play and have fun. If it wasn’t raining or snowing mom kicked us outside. But I guess lots of kid are raised by daycare workers these days no parents in sight. Having a few wobbly pops telling stories about exactly that and other stupid stuff we did. There was a lull in the conversation and one of my pals said “And we did it all with out cell phones”. Made everyone step back and think.
