Converting the 73-76 Dart fenders to fit a 67-69 Dart

So e good info here.

Dart Sport fender cross reference

My 67 dart has what I believe is a later front fender without modification.

I did this before I knew there was a difference.

It looks like it might have been an OEM replacement fender. Inside was black e coat like paint no tar or body color. But there were no signs the headlight bucket was relocated or side marker lights filled in.

I had the fender chemically stripped.

The only thing is the square holes for the head light bezel are not in the correct location for 67.

And 67, 68 and 69 bezels are all different in their location and mounting holes.

I am using the 67 one year only stainless wheel opening trim that fits correctly. I measured both sides and they have the same tire to rear and tire to front spacing.

Later year? drivers side.

I looked at a car show at several years darts and iirc the 74 was the one that had all the same attachments points and crush ribs.

(Note the crush ribs and the un used bolt hole by the core support)

The bezel does not fit 100% but it goes on.

I found some additional photos of the fender I used.

Interesting that the SAE date is 69?

The GT trim holes were added after the fact but before I got the fender, the big hole for the turn signal is too big and slightly off center. The GT badge was also mounted too far back they drilled through the stiffining brace.

As for other years...
No crush ribs, 2 bolt holes not used in 67.
