The 99, maybe the 2000 will work. The rest are IRS cars.. It does not need to be shortened to fit. That said, I’m doing an 8.8 swap and I am shortening the passenger side to have the driver side axle. That will make the rear 1/2 less wide than a standard 8 3/4. I figured I could use wheel spacers if needed. Here is a good video:
