Odd casting 1991 318 block
Industrial casting block. I’ve also seen 360s with the same I industrial casting, and of all the weirdness, I have just been given a low mileage ‘88 3.9 industrial engine. If you were to remove the core plugs, you’ll see these blocks have enough cylinder wall to accept a 4 inch bore pretty handily. The tops of the cylinder walls are pretty heavy. If I can find some stock bore TRW 360 domes, I’ve got an MP 3.58 4340 318 main journal crank I’d like to put in this one.
Be Careful of What You Let Get Away
It’s knife edged, polished, and got a ton of Mallory welded into it but may have to come out of it for some lighter rods and pistons.
